I Interpreted for directors, cinematographers, and other Chinese staff as well as western contestants for the TV program, “7th Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students”. It was held by Hunan Golden Eagle Broadcasting, the largest and most famous local TV station in China. This was at an international competition organized by the Chinese Language Council International. More than 500 college students from 55+ countries had been invited to take part in the finals. This number is down from 50,000 the original amount of students that took part in the preliminaries.
